Women Helping Others Advance

Did you know that Walking Through Life As Women has a women’s group that meets every 4-6 weeks? Our group started because Lisa and I wanted to meet with women face-to-face. Yes, we are empowering women through our blog stories, but we thought that we could make more of an impact by meeting some of these women in person. We wanted to create another path for women to express themselves, become empowered, and empower each other. So, we founded Women Helping Others Advance or WHOA.

We began meeting at the end of 2019, but soon our in-person meetings moved to online, as the pandemic took over. The online meetings were a success and we were able to meet some amazing women from all over the world. We continue to have our meetings now, both in person and online. We have covered so many different topics that affect women today, including having guest speakers to bring us all some new perspectives on our lives.

For 2023, we decided to focus on living life as a strong, independent woman and what that entails. We’ve started a series entitled Living A Self-Sufficient Life. The first meeting of the series covered finances and how to be successful with our finances. The second meeting in our series will focus on our bodies and eating. Our guest speaker, Samantha Conboy, CCH, M.A., who is a board-certified classical homeopath, will be leading our discussion entitled “Looking for Peace with Your Body & Eating, An Introduction to Homeopathy and Intuitive Eating”. We will be meeting on March 16th at 630p. You can go to our “Just So You Know” page for the link to sign up.

Will we see you there? We hope so!
