What Do I Need To Improve?

I would definitely say that there’s room for improvement…for myself and my life. And, since we’re all staying home and trying to get through this pandemic, I can’t think of a better time to try and make some positive changes. I don’t need to completely overhaul my life, maybe just a couple of things to help boost my well-being.

I need to relinquish what I can’t control. Maybe I can then feel that sense of empowerment by changing what I can, letting go of what I can’t, and focusing on myself. I need to define my intentions by getting back to writing out my goals and objectives. I believe I create my reality through my thoughts and intentions, so why not lay them out in front of me. I need and want to focus on right now. This is kind of challenging for me, especially with everything that is going on in the world today. The expectation to be connected at all times makes it difficult. I need to work on focusing on what is directly in front of me and be fully present. My husband would definitely appreciate it.

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I’ve been thinking a lot about the type of person I want to become. Someone who has a positive outlook, accepting of myself, and grateful for everyone and everything in my life. But I know to do that, I need to stop those running thoughts and worries. Someone I know once called it “pointless mental wanderings”. What helps me is taking the time to do a little meditation. It helps me to clear my head and then I can focus my energy. It works for me!

Okay, I guess that’s more than a couple of things. But when it comes to my everyday life, it’s too easy to just keep moving, keeping myself so busy I don’t have to face who I really am, how I really feel, and who I want to be. Facing your own reality and making changes is a scary thing, but to find what makes you happy, you have to do it. So, I continue to take a step back and look at my life.

Are you ready to make improvements/changes in your life? And, what’s the honest reason you want to make these changes? It’s okay if you don’t know right now. I just know that when I become better for myself, I will naturally become better for those around me.

As always, thank you for taking the time to read our blog. We appreciate your time and support.

  1. You need to know that the simple fact that you are continually striving to be better, makes me proud of you every single day. Strive to be better every day, but know that your adoring husband loves you “just the way you are.” 🙂

    • I strive to be a better person for me, for you, for our relationship (which is the foundation of our family). I love you.
