Making It Happen

I’m all about making it happen but translating a dream into reality is never easy. Setting up goals, putting those goals on paper and implementing (if you know how) those goals can strip you of your energy but hopefully not your passion and vision. Sometimes getting from point A to point B can be a little daunting but I know that anytime I am working on my dream will be worth it in the end.

If you’re lucky, you will have the support you need to make your dream come to fruition. Sharing your dream with your partner, spouse, friends or anyone, helps to get them as excited as you are. I find having the support from someone else to be invaluable, especially during those moments when you feel you are failing or just maintaining. You will need them to help pick you up and motivate you to keep moving forward. I have that support in my husband, family, and business partner.

I don’t know about you, but I need a date or period of time that I want to accomplish a goal. I need a deadline. It keeps me from thinking that I can put off tasks until tomorrow. I don’t want to be in the same spot 3 months, 6 months or a year from now. It’s all about moving forward and holding onto this dream and my vision for this dream. I know I will take a few detours, but the journey is what keeps me fueled.

My journey with our Walking Through Life As Women blog has not been easy but it has been a labor of love. I’ve learned a lot along the way and continue to learn more. You know how you can almost taste something when it’s about to happen? That’s kind of a funny phrase but that’s how I feel. I can see the vision before me. And everything that I have learned and figured out so far has given me this sense of confidence which helps to keep me focused on making it happen.

“You can’t just sit there and wait for people to give you that golden dream. You’ve got to get out there and make it happen for yourself.” – Diana Ross
