How many balls do you have up in the air right now? Or, should I ask how full is your plate? And, have you figured out how to do it all and maintain your sanity? I’m trying to figure that out now. In the past, I’ve always been able to adapt to whatever schedule I created for myself. At this point in my life, I’m finding it to be a little daunting at times. The life I have now is composed of being a wife, mother, running a blog site, three part-time jobs, taking care of a household, and trying to fit in some “self-care”. And, even though my daughters are out of the house and living their busy lives, I try to find as much time with them as I can. Cultivating and maintaining my relationships with family and friends is very important to me.
In a previous post, Look Out The Window (dated 3/11/19), I wrote about living your life with a deeper appreciation of people and the world around you. To slow down, to notice the little things, to not take things for granted, and to be present. This is not always easy to do, especially when you’ve got a vision that you want to bring to fruition. You feel the passion, you see what you want, but taking the steps to get there can take everything you’ve got, both physically and mentally.
So, dare I add one more thing to my schedule, one more ball to juggle? No…not now! I need to settle into what I’ve created for myself, the choices I’ve made, find balance, and know that somehow it will all get done. And remember to be grateful and breathe…breathe…breathe!
