Simply, the definition of being fearless is someone who is not afraid to face his or her fears. I admire anyone who is fearless, especially women. Women who are brave and courageous have a quality that enables them to face life’s challenges without showing fear.
This doesn’t mean that you won’t have moments of feeling less than. I think that it’s normal for a fearless woman to have moments of fear and self-doubt. It doesn’t mean that you’re a failure, it means that you’re real. My world isn’t perfect and I don’t have it all together all the time. Who does?!
There are several things that I do try to do in my life that help to build my confidence and strength, that help to give me that sense of fearlessness. The most important thing is I try to practice self-care. I’m still learning how to do this for myself unconditionally. But I know that if I do, happiness will follow. I try not to waste my time complaining. It just drains my energy and, of course, gets me nowhere. I’m learning to let go and move forward. Also, to continue working to become the best version of myself (always a work in progress), to follow my passions in life.
My hope is that our future generations of women will follow the example of women before them. I hope they will find the confidence and strength to take risks, to challenge themselves, to not give a damn of what others think, and know their worth. Are you a fearless woman?
